Welcome to Spain's 1st Community Website on Quad Biking.
New Members Welcome.
The Urcal Dust Devils have been around since 07/08. It was formed naturally like many organisations and clubs, by a group of friends who got together after chatting in the local village bar. Other like-minded members of the community joined the group enjoying the freedom of riding out into the campo on machines that could sustain the punishment thrown at them by the terrain.
As the months have gone by, the Urcal Dust Devils has gradually grown in size. Membership numbers have grown to an average of 14 to 16, many are husbands and wives teams. Together they enjoy this exciting past time. Members come from all walks of life and we are very fortunate that one of our founder members, Bryn, is a qualified Motor Cycle Mechanic Bryn who has helped out on many occasions when one of our vehicles has had a breakdown or a simple flat tyre. He will also service or repair quads for a very reasonable price. Bryn can be contacetd on
The club meets on Thursdays in Urcal High Street (37deg 28' 01.74 N and 1 deg 55' 12.70 W)
at about 11am. After a brief discussion a decision is made on where to go and what watering hole stop at for a break.
Boring Important Stuff
We are considerate to the environment around us and safety is our number one priority. This is not a quad bike racing club. We do not race each other, we do make sure that other quad bikers are safe and we support our members should their machines breakdown.
The Law.
Over the past few years legislation for riding quad bikes and motor cycles in Spain has changed. All ramblas now have been classified as roads as they are maintained by the council. All vehicles using them need to have insurance and the drivers/riders need to have a licence to drive their vehicles. Also the vehicle needs to have an ITV (MOT) and the riders and passengers of quad bikes must wear crash helmets. Failure to comply can lead to hefty fines. Buggy drivers and passengers are of course exempt from the wearing crash helmets.
